[GB]B series number rows
« on: Fri, 12 October 2012, 21:17:14 »
I know TheProfosist and Marclgw are starting GBs for B series caps from QWERKeys as well, so this may be confusing but I'm checking interest in getting B series number rows to match RA2.0, CCnG, the upcoming CCnB and OCKC key sets.  Pictures below are of one-shots that I've been able to find, but obviously sleabo has his MoQ for B series and I'd like to get these for myself and don't mind organizing it for the group (or helping someone established do it).

EDIT Counter!:
I should probably do a google doc for this, but for now quick and easy
RA2.0 - 20
CCnG - 5
CCnB - 4
OCKC - 4
Valentine - 1
Sanctuary - 2

I've already talked to sleabo and pricing is as follows:
20 sets  @ $35/set

50+ sets @ $30/set

This is for number row (~ through =) only to match other popular key sets.

Also, I cleared things with the other B series GB organisers and they don't have a problem with a third going on at the same time.

Hmm if I wasn't ordering blanks I'd get these. Might just ask marc to get me 2 sets of blanks so I can do the number row as well

If I wasn't clear, I'm thinking of doing a blue/white/blue to go with the upcoming CCnB that Keyboard Story has in the works and a orange/charcoal/orange for the OCKC that's about to start collecting money in addition to the other two.

Nah, it's going to be on its own unless interest just isn't there to justify it.

I want to run a bunch of options to gussy up current and upcoming popular key sets.

If interest starts picking up and we get enough orders, I'd actually like set to match the CCnB. So total, I'd like one of the red-white-red and one blue-white-blue.

If need be I can create polls as long as I'm provided the correct fields to determine interest. e.g. style, color, row of keys etc etc
60% keyboards, 100% of the time.

I've been looking for orange/charcoal for quite some time now.  So if you ever get this off the ground, I'm in for that as well.

Just number row.  This was started when there was a f-row buy going on at the same time.

I might be in for a red and/or green if its just numbers.
Is the price confirmed?

yep

Does this thing have any kind of a completion date, or possible dates?  They look cool.

Pretty much once I hit MoQ of 20 for whichever hits first.

Which it appears that RA2.0 just did.

People that wanted RA2.0:
reaper - invoiced
boost - invoiced
Th3KAS - Invoiced
Danielucf - invoiced
Chaosstepx2 - invoiced
tjcaustin
ChaoticKinesis - invoiced
Zokudu - invoiced
eyejay - Invoiced
weasle425 - invoiced
eNrageDSainT - invoiced
rayuki - invoiced
cwang1004 - invoiced
hoshidishi - PAID
Bim Gao - invoiced
KuhnTang - invoiced
okooko - invoiced
f1shf3ast - invoiced
nebo - invoiced
cobraj - invoiced
epicsilas - invoiced

Look for a PM soon with what you owe and a paypal address to send that payment to.  If it's alright, I'd like to do how I'm going to with Klaxon and subsidize my set through the other 20 people (~$2 per person extra.

For those that are now interested because we finally hit MoQ, please feel free to make note of that interest.  I've sent sleabo an email asking for an exact quote and will start taking money once that's received so there's still a chance to get you in the mix as well.  Not only will this go sweet with RA2.0, it'll look sexy with Klaxon, too, so those of you that have already signed up for Klaxon should think about this as well.

I've got a couple people in the last day ask to join, so we're down to one needed order, if the two that volunteered want to duke it out.  Or we can be one over and both of you have two sets.

my paypal is tjcaustin@yahoo.com either way.  Since I'm shipping things to you anyways, just send me an extra $36 to cover the cost of the caps.

I would like both the couple that want more than one and the two that have asked to join to pay me soon (next day or two) so I can get this ordered before the monster that is klaxon starts to invoice.

I was totally expecting klaxon to be about this size, in all disclosure.

Oh man was I wrong.

« Reply #134 on: Mon, 04 February 2013, 14:33:07 »
Sorry, I can't be bothered to read the thread. Can someone tell me if these are engraved and infilled?

Edit: I guess I figured it out.  Seems these are double shot, with the entire top face of the keycap being the first shot, and the sides and edges being the second shot. Then engraved and infilled.

They look cool, anyway. I probably should have bought a set. :)

Are these the same colour as Qwerkeys "Red Power Button Function Pack" - not that I should really be spending more on keycaps...

You can get both function pack and b series from qwer keys. It is a vendor with a website similar to techkeys. check the vendor forums.

the B series number pack has MOQ on it. However, you can buy the b series function pack as a set.

I think that it used to be the same with the function row, as I had to get in a group buy for mine, but that changed very recently.

I think the color difference is a crap shoot as mine match perfect, other than the power button.

The right hand side of that pic makes it seems rather close in color for both sets.

Looking at the shadow and the artificial lighting on the LHS, it alters the perspective a fair bit

at least close enough for a drunk to not tell the difference. good enough for me. lol
