[Ended] fruktstund's Spring Cleaning (CCnG, Moogles, CC's)
« on: Sat, 10 November 2012, 04:19:31 »
Hello ladies and gentlemen!
Welcome to my small spring cleaning in the fall (fall cleaning sounds so sad to me as a fall hater so I'll stick to saying spring cleaning).

Story:
Recently, I realized I had spent too much on keyboard stuff (and on other stuff as well but that's not relevant), and that I need to buy some more keyboard stuff (thanks to lysol's Cherry replica group buy). This is why I've chosen to sell some of the stuff I have lying around, which doesn't see too much use. It doesn't feel too good to part with some of this stuff, but I guess they'll go to a happier owner instead. :)

"Rules": <- you should read these
This is a bit important. Since some of the things I'm selling today is a bit sought-after, I want to make this as fair as possible. Therefore, the sale will be conducted like this:
1. Interested buyer registers their interest by saying something like "Interested in #2". Important! A maximum of six (interested) buyers per item.
2. When the sale ends, Monday 12th of November at 22:00 GMT, the people who've expressed interest in an item will be assigned a number (from their post order), and the winner will be chosen by a roll of this dice at Random.org. If there are less than six people interested in an item and the dice would roll a higher number than the maximum, I'll reroll untill a winner is found.
3. If a buyer wants either one but not both item #2 and #3, they'll be dropped from #3 if they win #2 (or the other way around depending on which one I pick first), and another user in line will take their place.
4. Please, do only post in the thread (no PM's and emails). Makes it easier for me!

I hope these rules are okay. :)

All items will be shipped from Sweden, and, unless otherwise stated, the buyer will pay the shipping. I have no problems shipping worldwide, as long as the Posten (the Swedish Post) are able to ship items to your country (almost everywhere).

Thanks, and happy rolling!

Item #1: Cream Cheese & Green, including tsangan kit and three (faulty) Caps Lock that should fit all of Cherry's keyboards (no Filcos, et cetera)
Slots filled: 3/6 -- [ winzds, esoomenona, nunobet ]
Price: $95

Only used once, when I picked it out of the box and tried it out on my keyboard for five minutes before putting it back in the box again. Honestly I'm only selling this because I can't come to like the font, now matter how hard I try!

Item #2: Moogle (latest round with the almighty Cherry font) kit, black on beige, with fullmod kit
Slots filled: 6/6 -- [ jeroplane, winzds, eon, pasph, Mikelittoris, dreamingftw ]
Price: $35

Will also include those faulty Caps Locks, which I think should fit on Cherry's keyboards, a regular Moogle spacebar, and a CCnG spacebar for a bit better colour matching. Never used.

Item #3: Moogle kit (also from the latest round)
Slots filled: 6/6 -- [ jeroplane, pasph, Kensy, dreamingftw, biochem, huttala ] - (Lighthouse1, Mikelittoris, esoomenona, DeathAdder)
Price: $18.5

Your standard Moogle kit. Has seen some use, but all of the keycaps have their texture left and don't look shiny. Will of course include a spacebar, though only a regular Moogle kit one. I'll also include the fulltouch Caps Lock key, which I for some reason forgot when I took the photo.

Item #4: Click Clack 3D skull for Topre keyboards
Slots filled: 0/6
Price: $84.2 I'll also pay half the shipping

You know what this is. I don't really think this skull suits my tastes, so therefore someone else could now become a happier owner. Also, sorry for the excruciatingly bad photo.

Item #5: Click Clack Julysicle for Topre keyboards
Slots filled: 0/6
Price: $125 I'll also pay all of the shipping

You probably also know this one too. I kind of like this one, which is one of the reasons I've set this high of a price for it. I just don't think I like it enough to keep it, even though it hurts me a bit to let it go. I really hope this one will get tenderly cared! :)

And that was all for this sale. Thanks for looking, people!

Hihi, for item number 2 what do you mean by full mod kit? just everything in the picture?
Yeah, everything in the picture (and a couple of spacebars too)! I don't know if this was what was referred to as a "full mod kit" in the group buy, but I'll just call it that anyway. :>

Nice items.

Thanks! Yes, I agree. A bit charming, isn't it? I thought of selling it for something insanely high, but $125 is already pushing my limits for what feels right and what doesn't. :) The new owner will get a one of a kind item for an alright price instead!

jeroplane and winzds, interest noted. <:

(but not both 2 & 3)  :)
Now that makes stuff a bit more complicated, but I guess I'll just add something to the rules:
3. If a buyer wants either one but not both item #2 and #3, they'll be dropped from #3 if they win #2 (or the other way around depending on which one I pick first), and another user in line will take their place.
4. Please, do only post in the thread (no PM's and emails). Makes it easier for me!

Sounds alright? :)

I'll update the original post with interested parties and slots available for the items. Updated the original post with additional rules, interested parties and slots available.

I didn't really intend to create any rules.  All I meant to indicate was that if I somehow got picked for both of those, then I would defer one of them.  #2 may not be my first choice!

Good thinking, I guess. I myself have been buying things I don't need, hence this sale. :) Thanks for shown interest.

All interest noted. :)

Busigt! Hade kunnat göra det om du sagt åt mig innan jag lade upp tråden, höhö.

Less than four hours left people. Note that neither #4 nor #5 have any interested buyers, and they'd both like new owners. ;)

My plan is to roll the dice a few hours after the sale has ended, so if I'm not here directly after it's ended, don't worry.

As I see that 50% of the interested peeps on item #2 are also on #3, please add me to the waiting list on item #2 as well...

Sneaky move of those three...having a chance of 16.67% to "win" at least one moogle kit to those six others who only have a chance of 8.33%. (if we take both moogles into account which I did as I think they are pretty much the same...)
Kinda overthrows the fair spirited sell OP has in mind.

But as OP's rules didn't say otherwise and he seems ok with that, so be it. Still dislike it :/

@DeathAdder: yeah, I know. It's kind of unfair, but then again they have a higher risk of buying more keycaps at once, which makes it a higher chance for me to ship more keycaps to only one person. Something like that. :)
@iArson, esoomenona: I'm afraid to say I can't, since you posted after the sale's ending time. One part of me would like to sell #4 anyway, but I don't like to bend the rules, so I'll sell it at another occasion.

It's time to roll the dice, people! I'll be back with results in a minute.

Now that makes me look like I'm clairvoyant or whatever it's called. :>

People's assigned numbers:

Roll 1 (item #1 is die #1, #2 is #2, #3 is #3, from the left):

^ Need another roll for item #1.

Roll 2 (only for item #1):

Winner of item #1: nunobet
Winner of item #2: pasph
Winner of item #3: huttala

Congratulations to all winners! I'll contact you in less than 24 hours with invoices, since I'll have to check shipping options during the day (it's currently 3AM here and I need some sleep :>). Item #2 and #3 should be easy to ship, but as for #1 I'll need to ask the girls and boys at the post office I think. You'll hear from me soon!

The sale is now officially over. Thanks for participating!

Now I seriously need to get off this crappy phone connection and get some more sleep. Good night, everyone. :>

I wasn't trying to be sneaky. I legitimately have two sets that require Moogle Kits. I think the way fruktstund has done it is far more fair than a regular sale. If he hadn't included the dice-roll concept then I would've bought both #2 and #3 immediately since I was first to post.

But I digress, congrats to the people that won the items! :)

Surprised no-one was interested in the CCs.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
