I'm interested in this too, perhaps if someone tried contacting corsair asking to buy them outright?

Last post in that thread (Dec 14) said they contacted Corsair support and was told that those keycaps won't be sold separately.  :(

meh I like how corsairs looks
hence why I haven't just outright bought rubberized caps

That is the only thing related to their peripherals that I like at all
is their keycaps and they don't even sell them separate
they got a ego -_- their keyboards are junk

Look at the picture you quoted, they don't have any sort of sculpting and are flat little squares, like rubberized chiclet keys :)

Also, I just sent Corsair Sales Support an email about purchasing these, now. we play the waiting game.

I've seen them in person :P I'm pretty sure they are at least a similar height to OEM profile, but I'll ask my brother to look when he gets back to his school tonight.

I think they could be OEM profile. The difference is they don't have a skirt, so they won't go all the way down like any other cap, but can just as well sit as high as any other cap.

What's the difference from the K60 and K70 rubber caps?

It could be that the K70 caps look better with LED backlighting, because the K60 didn't have LEDs.

Corsair is only selling the "K60" style keycaps on their website right now.

The K70 keycaps which will show the back light through them will also be available, but no time table yet.

They are also probably more durable, because those K60 caps look pad-printed.

I read in the corsair forums that there were two kinds of those keycaps for the k60.  There were a lot of complaints of the letters rubbing off of them so they changed them a little.  The later models seem to have ones that are not as rubbery but the letters last longer.  We should bug corsair about the repalcement parts for the k70.  They would look great on a backlit keyboard like the ducky.

I'll shoot them an email too, even if it doesn't accomplish anything.  I'd love to get some of those dark red rubberized caps for my Pure/Poker 2 when it comes out.  The K60 ones don't really have any charm for me personally.

edit://  crushing on that textured space bar too, wonder if it would fit a Pure?  Maybe I'll just buy the whole board but idk.

Nope. that spacebar's a 6.5x measurement. About .25x longer.

Really the main difference between the two are the K60 red keycaps do not show LED light through them.  The K70 FPS keycaps are like a carbon fiber red color and will show LED light through them.  K70 keycaps are laser itched.
