Filco TenKeyPad LED too bright
« on: Tue, 15 January 2013, 13:05:01 »
Picked up one of these pads a while ago and I have a slight problem - the LED is freaking bright. This thing literally lights up my room, its crazy. Short of sticking some tape over it or something which will look like a bodge, does anybody have any great ideas on how to reduce the brightness? Or even how to disable it completely? I don't really want to get into an insane mod, just more of a quick fix and I don't want to remove the LED because then i'll have a hole where it should be.

Cheers

Either swap the LED out or use a black Sharpie.

most people write over the LED in sharpie to dim it.

:))  Simple idea but great, didn't even think along those lines at all!
Thanks for the quick responses.
