Interestingly enough, this time no.  Chromy looking wires, all machine made.

I'm sure they can, but I don't know who they are or how to contact them.  These are 2nd hand new goods that dropped on my doorstep.

Maybe somehow we can convince Alaric to bend some 7x wires for us? Maybe if you buy two sets of these, he will bend one 7x wire for you? Thinking...

I'll take 4 sets depending on price. 7x wires would be nice, but they seem pretty easy to make

That's what I thought. Just throw it in a pliers, vice, or if worse comes to worse, I can always go down to the metals shop at school.

Cherry ones should be pretty easy to do without any tools. I think with Costar you would need a wire bender  since it's a lot more than just a wire with two bends in it

My thoughts exactly. Hence why I went with Cherry stabs for my Phantom.

I won't have materials on hand for 7x for 12 weeks.  I also won't have any additional plate mount for the foreseeable future.

No worries. I can probably bend these 10x bars from the WYSE with just some pliers or a vise. :)

While the inability to service PCB mount Cherry stabs in a plate mount situation is a pain, PCB mount are more common in DIY builds due to it being the Korean choice.  It can often be gotten a little cheaper as well.  I am curious to see if plate or PCB becomes the go-to choice for non-Korean DIYs.

I would think PCB that support PCB mount stabs. would be better encase someone doesn't like plate mount boards (someone of a minority) and like you said they're easier to find. Plus it's only a few more holes in a PCB

For phantom we don't really have a choice because PCB doesn't have the holes for PCB-mounted stabs. But from GH60 and on, PCB-mounted stabs is possible.

PCB-mounted cherry stabs are actually harder to find here in the US. I've tried to source them, but they're either not in stock or needs a minimum order of 1000 pcs.

Interesting, I had no such issue.  While I do have them backordered (far less than 1000 units) I have a solid ship date and good comms from the supplier.  They've also previously been in stock with this supplier and I expect that to happen again regularly.

PMd for two sets. Litster has a good youtube video posted on bending spacebar stabilizer springs.

That's Costar... Cherry is way easier, 1/16" thick wire and 2 90degree bends.
