I really liked my FC700R but the spacebar really irked me so I sold it. Still kind of regret it though. Awesome board, and the 1.3mm PBT caps feel really nice.

Right on.

I honestly enjoy this board more than my Filco. The caps one them are just phenomenal and the flip-up legs are well made.

Unfortunatly I gotta let this go, but I gotta fund the LZ-GH somehow

funny, I might sell my Filco and my ducky for the LZ-GH too.

I used to want one of these 700's soo bad. I looked everywhere and they weren't available anywhere in US. If I weren't about to buy the KMAC 2 and the LZ-GH I'd buy this for sure.

I had to back out of the LZ-GH due to some unexpecting funds for school aka TEXTBOOKS :/

I can't get over the thick PBTs. They are just a absolute joy to type on on any Cherry MX switch.

In terms of activation force, the Whites require more activation force than the Blues and Greens.

In terms of "clicky" noise, the Greens are the loudest, Blues are middle, and the Whites are not very audible, but you can hear it.

Question about the 3DS XL. Does it use a soft rubber membrane over a contact switch like the DS/GBA/GBC did, or does it use the awful metal bump contact that the original 3DS does (AKA is it stiff, horrible, and uncleanable like the 3DS or is is properly made like every other game boy ever?)

Not trying to threadcrap, but I can't express how unhappy I am with that change. These hard click switches are such ass compared to the old user-servicable membrane. Both my B button and R button don't seem to register for about 20% of the button presses and there's nothing I can do about it. If it's the old style membrane I just would have been able to dab it with some contact cleaner and presto, your buttons are good for another 2 years, but they had to implement this housed hermetically sealed switch which apparently still has some crap going on in it because it simply doesn't work properly.

Either way, that's a great price on the 3DS XL. Hope it sells for you but I guess i'm waiting for the refresh and crossing my fingers for better button engineering. GLWS

I've spent most of my handheld time on the GBA SP, which had hard click mechanics, so I'm quite used to it.

But the regular 3DS's buttons are a bit stiff, but the 3DS XL aren't as bad.
