Backlit Tenkeyless Mechanical Keyboard recommendations
« on: Sat, 13 April 2013, 09:58:21 »
Hey everyone, Im new here. I decided to get myself a mechanical keyboard for the first time. While trying to do some research on a TKL, I found myself here in these forums.

Anywho, I'm looking for a TKL backlit mech keyboard. My price range is $150 max. I think I would prefer mx cherry blue switches or brown.

I was looking at the ducky shine ii Blue LED / Blue MX Cherry but I can't find them in stock anywhere.

This keybaord will be used mostly for typing and some gaming. Anywho, would like some recommendations for what I want and a place that carries the keyboard.

They have the Chinese layout in stock right now.  IMO Chinese > US for keyboard layouts.

I have the same problem and I'll tell you this. I'd rather go with Ducky Shine II, because it has 2 custom/programmable backlit settings. So for gaming, I can backlit only the keys I'm going to use in that game. To me that's huge.

Having said that it is getting a bit annoying with waiting for the shipment and now with the postponed date.
I might just call it quits and get something else entirely or a full keyboard ducky.

What's different about the Chinese layout? It has extra characters printed on it, otherwise it looks the same to me.

I'd have to recommend the Ducky Shine TKL. Lovely build quality, except for a couple of microscopically skewed keys. The backlighting features are rather flash, and can be tasteful and subtle enough to not bother you once the excitement wears off.

That is the only difference.
