Submitted exactly at 4:20 ... No email :(
That doesnt really matter. CC will pick and choose who he wants from the list.

Whooooah! WHAT!?
I go in the order of the emails until I run out of items. If you put in your order and I didn't have any of the items left from your list I move on to the next person, rinse, repeat.

Simple, honest, true.

BTW, I'm still not done sending out emails (quotes, for those who thought that was devestatingly ambiguous).

My bad, bro! Disregard my previous, sadface comment :p

(bitterness of not getting topre set :()

Did anyone who won send their email a couple seconds early to make sure it got to clickclack right at 4:20:00? Just wondering for next sale.

Thanks a lot!

Don't worry, I don't have a Topre board, so didn't put them in my list.  ;)

I was lucky enough to snag 2, 3 and 1M.

Hey, Clickclack, I have a question. For the people who emailed you before the timer went off, like mere seconds I mean, did they get anything? One of my friends sent an email about the same time as I did or a few seconds before and he hasn't gotten anything. Whats up with that? (I mean that in like an italian guy's voice in a joking way. not in a concerned way lol)

If it was before the time stated in the thread then you won't get anything.

I downloaded some Thunderbird app that sends a message at a certain time. I tested it multiple times before the sale and it always sent them right on time, but on the sale message it sent it at 4:20:43. Dang. Oh well, I guess I won't be using that next time.

I don't know if this one went faster than the previous one, or if he stands by his "good > lucky" stance, but I don't really buy it. I don't want to sound bitter about not getting in, but when people are sending their emails at the exact second they are told, and still missing out, it seems like a fair amount of luck is involved. Unless everyone who got in knew their delay to CC and compensated by sending early (and is not devulging so)...

I did too since he said that it is our best tool, but I checked the data after I sent it and it said it was earlier than 4:20:00 so i'm not sure if the timer was off.. Oh well, glad other people won  :)

If you sent 1 second before, he got it at 420 because it takes 1 second to receive the email. My friend and I had tested this with Gmail. He's still sending emails, i'd just wait if I were you guys.

FWIW, I refreshed the timer with about twenty seconds to go. I reloaded it in a second tab earlier and noticed the original, which was ticking for an hour or so, was lagging by a few seconds.

You have to estimate how long it will take from your email provider to send an mail to hotmail, if you have done that you know when to send the email. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that has done some testing before this sale. So yeah, people probably know how long it takes for the mail to get sent.

We must re-arm, re-strategize, for the next inbox assault.

Edit; WRXChris, thats one thing i was thinking... All the sub-forums are public....? Not really a sale to only GH, if you dont even need to be a member.

Just an observation.

I actually sent one ~20 seconds early (way too much im thinking, lol) and a second identical email was supposed to be sent at the exact end time, but ended up being 2 to 3 seconds after....

So botched that one, but would be interesting to see the spacing of the two emails.

The sole reason i dont buy at markup, and would love to have gotten something here is that CC actually gets all of the $$$
