Mechanical keyboard retailer in New York?
« on: Sun, 28 April 2013, 09:43:38 »
Hi! Newbie here! I just ordered a used keyboard with blue MX in this very forum, but very interested in other types of switches. Just wondering if there exist any store in New York (preferably in Queens because I live there :P ) that I can try out different types of switches? Thanks for information!

Brooklyn here ! I believe you can only try the ones at Best Buy if you're lucky ... from experience, I purchased separate switches from WASDkeyboards and put keycaps on them to try out. Good luck !

Welcome to Geekhack!  Unfortunately in the US, there doesn't seem to be many places where you can try out a lot of mechanical keyboards.  (Unlike Japan for instance)  But such a thing SHOULD exist. :)

there are a few at J&R in the city. I've not come across keyboards from bestbuy that are mechanical is there a specific one that carries them?
