Single cap: $15 for my F2 Red
Full Set: $15 or $20 on my Graphite set.
Unless you count my sets coming in pieces, then $15 for some semi-used WoB Cherry DS's and then $30 later when inlikeflynn sold me a set of 1.5 modifiers and spacebar etc(after a few months of searching). In which case I had spent $45 and then gotten a red Cherry escape from CPTBadAss as a Secret Santa gift. :)
GB set: Hashbaz's RGBY and Faux Cherry escape GB in which (if I recall) I spent just a tick over $30 on one set plus a faux Cherry escape.

$190 for my ESA-3000HASRO... but that was for an entire keyboards so... does it still count?
For only keycaps (still not exactly true since I also got a rare 1000 casebody too)... $90 for near mint 101 black on white/beige with international sideprint Cherry doubleshots.

Most of my purchases are in the sub $40 range.

I spent $20 or so on a Mint Green Clack in the 4/20 sale. It's not much by this place's standards, but when I joined I thought someone would have to be crazy to spend that much on one keycap.

I also spent around $90 on the Raindrop set and will probably be spending the same on a thick PBT set soon.

Let's not kid ourselves here. I REALLY wanted that Julysicle. It just happened to be during a very good cause where I could pawn off my actions.

Well, it just helps to contextualise your purchase in a more reasonable manner ;)

Now you can say to people "I spent more on this single keycap than your entire keyboard cost.".
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
