WTB: QFR Green MX/imsto white/beige dye sub set
« on: Tue, 21 May 2013, 15:37:13 »
Looking for either of these. Only have money for one. First priority is qfr with green switches.
Also looking for imsto thick due sub set. The white and beige two tone set. Preferably with blue legends like in my avatar.

Yah I just saw that. Price is a bit steep was hoping making to save a few. Also I saw some updated pics on imstos tabao site with the caps lock fixed. White caps lock is kinda weak and I don't have a board for the off center.

Lysol GB is $75 per set, if you don't like the ones with exotic legends you have an option of the red, black and hollow black (outlined legends)

That's true thanks. I forgot about that GB. Not sure if my patients are in check for a GB at the moment.

Overpriced, but you can get a QFR with greens on Amazon right now for $125.

One left.  They bumped their price $10 since I bought mine, and even what I paid felt steep.  Seem to be putting them up two at a time...

Yea i thought the price looked a bit higher than i remembered.

I feel at the new price, id consider getting the stealth version with greens and wait the 1-3 months

Definitely higher.  I wouldn't call foul unless they spike it another $10, but it does seem odd that they trickle out two at a time now.  When I was first considering, I think they had 6 in stock.  Then those sold out, and "luckily" there were two more the next day.  I bought one, and the other sold, and then... two more the next day.

Assuming I don't get a lot of complaints tomorrow at work when I bring in the QFR for the first time, I might do the same, order a stealth and wait on it, so I'm not lugging my board back and forth every day.  Unless Ducky gets some sense and releases a green TKL PBT any time soon.  After playing with the other color switches in some stores, and using the greens, I don't think I'd go for any other switches at this point.  Well, unless people complain about the noise and an o-ring mod doesn't take care of it...

I saw that one on Amazon but if you notice it's sold by tiger imports. Which is why it's $125. You can see that Amazon has it for 115 but it's not in stock. Which still feels a little high to me but with prime shipping I'd go for it.

Based upon what CM said (simply "no ETA") when I contacted them about any QF TKL with greens coming in stock any time soon (asked ~2 weeks ago), $125 may be your best bet.  Assuming nobody suddenly decides to part ways with theirs here.

Funny I just checked and the $125 one is gone. I have a couple leads waiting for responses. I will get my hands on one. I'm not desperate at this point to over pay. But amazons regular price is already high at $115. Weird. These things are non existent though in the retail space. At least from my searching.

That's why I caved and paid the $115 on mine.  Got too paranoid that coworkers would get pitchforks over my Model M, but I couldn't go back to a rubber dome at work after having used better for a couple of weeks.  (Not sure why using better at home for so long didn't bother me at work...)  Nor could I stand the thought of something with much less weight.  When I bought mine, it was the only thing with green switches I could find.  Blues just do not fight my fingers as well.

Better that you aren't desperate, may save you some cash.  Good luck!
