Per-key backlight on keypress?
« on: Tue, 04 June 2013, 13:48:29 »
Hi,

I'm looking for a backlit mechanical keyboard for a friend. He wants one where none of the keys are lit up by default, and as you type, the keys which you press light up. Do any of the existing mechanical keyboards offer such a lighting mode?

Thanks!

The ducky shine 2 does it.  Hard to see since your finger is covering the legend as you press it.  I saw a video on youtube of it. I'd wait for the shine 3 since it is coming out soon.  Looks good in the video but we are seeing it as a top down from behind the keyboard view.

Awesome, thanks for both those links. Looks like the magic words are "reactive lighting" - my search-fu must be weak....

Corsair K70 and K95 have that feature.

Though the Ducky Shine II did it Eons before it (and better) and comparing the reactive mode of the K70 and K95 with the Ducky Shine III is just pure humiliation.
