Leopold FC700R Keycaps
« on: Tue, 04 June 2013, 23:53:32 »
Hey guys,

Just got my new Leopold FC700R in the mail today.
Is it normal for the keycaps to have some sort of reflection where the letters are at?
It's as if there is some sort of thin transparent tape on some of the letters.

I'll include pictures when I get home.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. The keycaps have a coating on them.

If you look at my signature, I have an FC700R review. I believe someone posted there why there's the coating. PCCaseGear explained that the caps were having wear issues and the coating your referring to fights the wear.

Thanks for your answer!
I'm still going to try to return it to PCCG. Unfortunately, I found a small dent on the body of the keyboard.
Hopefully PCCG agrees to send me a new set.
