Here's the short version...

My three questions are:

1. Is the backlight mode or level on the Max Keyboard adjustable and remembered after a reboot?

2. Does the keyboard feel like nice quality?  Have your keycap legends worn over time or have any of your LEDs burnt out?

3. Does anyone know of any other full size, blue backlit keyboards with cherry red switches and costar (or costar-like) stabilizers that doesn't have all sorts of gamer hotkeys and usb hubs and stuff?

Here's the long version...

Originally I had a Deck Legend but the black switches are not comfortable for me.  So, in the meantime I picked up the cheapest Rosewill I could find off Amazon just to see if I liked the red switches knowing I am going to return it and I really do like them.  In fact I am loving this keyboard other than not having backlighting (and the kind of ugly logo in the upper right corner).  A side effect of trying this Rosewill is I have found out I like costar stabilizers much better than Cherry stabilizers which is what Deck uses.  It was dumb luck that this Rosewill board had them as I really had no clue about the different stabilizers.  The only Rosewill that I know of with backlighting has brown switches I think and maybe blue but I can't remember.

Anyway, from my research it seems the Max Nighthawk uses costar or a variation of costar type stabilizers along with blue backlighting and red switches.  I am not sure I am liking the USB hub and whatever else is going on in the upper right corner of the keyboard though.  However, I might ignore that since it seems no other blue backlit keyboard uses costar stabilizers that I know of.

I am pretty sure the Ducky keyboards use Cherry stabilizers or I would get one of those since they don't have all the extra USB/headphone jack stuff and I know their backlighting is top notch.  The stabilizers on the Deck have really made me not want them again.  It is possible this is because the spacebar switch in the Deck is a Cherry gray switch which is even stiffer than the blacks so that might be compounding the mushy or soft feel of the space bar.

I also wish the Max Keyboard used the typical layout of the bottom row I'm used to (3.75,6.25,5) instead of the (3.5, 7, 4.5 or 4,6,5 or whatever it is) but I don't plan on changing keycaps so I guess I can ignore that.  The windows key is weird though.

Thank You!
