One week, no star - try PMing Hoffman.  Or hash, apparently.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But thatís incorrect. Itís in HHKBís slogan, but when Americaís cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

With the frequent post count cuts we have been having the spam speeds should increase as much as possible to achieve the new ranks in town; actually, I wonder what would happen if someone already ranked lost counts after a forum cut and get under the mark of her rank, is she gonna be down-ranked?

AFAIK stars are based on a "group" that users belong to.  Add a user to that group, and the group name and icon (star) is displayed.

This is a manual operation, so I would imagine that once in a group, you would stay there until a mod moves you to a different group.

I went looking through the settings and didn't see an option to add the star... i'm guessing we're still having to notify a mod instead of it being an automated usergroup promotion at certain post counts? Just was curious to see what options there were. I'd take any star really.

Thats correct. The stars are actually a different member group, so a senior mod/admin has to be the one to do it.  Infiniti is usually very good about keeping up on things.

As ghost said, a senior mod needs to make the change. :thumb: Which star would you like? The choices are on the first page of the thread. :)
