One alternative option would be to get a laptop bag with a big pocket. I use a Timbuk2 Messenger. Laptop and tablets go in back, but a huge pocket in front that fits my 660c.  I take it everywhere.

I never said they were cheap, just said it was an option. For a cheap alternative, I would look at a laptop bag that is make for a mac 13" and that should be enough room to carry it.

If you'd consider a new laptop bag, I can't recommend this one enough: http://www.amazon.com/Timbuk2-Commute-TSA-Friendly-Messenger-Bag/dp/B0080B834Q  Comes in a variety of sizes and colors.  It's not cheap, but it's insanely high quality, and such an awesome layout of pockets.  The front area is so big and it kind of expands to fit more stuff.  I'm amazed at what I've been able to fit in there.  Yet, it collapses if you don't have much.  If you fly much, the TSA part is the best part... don't have to take your laptop out, you just unzip the back and lean it over on the belt.  So great.

I had my sister sew me a carrying case. Think it cost her less than $10. Backpacks and the original box work great too.

A bit off topic, does anyone know of any wrist-rests that fit the 660c? I'm going to be doing a LOT of typing once classes start up again in the fall and I want my hands to be comfortable.

Grifiti on amazon sells nice ones. On mobile so I can't get the link. Of check out The_Beast's wood works. He has some for sale and custom order as well.

I use the smaller Grifiti one. Cheap and does the job.
