Good deal on an unsaver

Not a bad price for a big boy that appears to have almost all its caps.

Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

I think it'll work with a soarer.

Also, I thought "unsaver" referred to a model F 104-key (122 that's missing the tenkey) as it's a "space saving" model F, but doesn't save any space (it's almost the same width as a normal model M) hence unsaver (bit of a pun).

You are right but IMO anything with more than 87 keys is an "unsaver".

If anyone looked up the part number, you'd see that there's at least one vendor who says they have stock of kishsavers. I think they are like $300 or something like that. Then again, lots of places show stock of items they actually don't have, so maybe it's a lie like the others.

This is a pretty good price. These kb's provide lots of parts, and some people (like me) like the layout.

some people (like me) like the layout.

I got the F-122 because it was the only way to get a Model F in near-ANSI layout.

I must say that while I never really warmed up to the Omnikeys I used to own, after 2 years I have become very dependent on both sets of Function keys and like the F-122 layout a lot.

As long as you have the desk space.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

I would recommend converting the protocol to USB with a soarer, which supports all kinds of USB HID codes and macros.
