Still, $620 is very steep for a 60% keyboard.  I've done some napkin calculations of material costs + shipping + PayPal fee, and you're still making over $100 in profit for labor and "tuning" (which requires cheap materials, so it's just another word for "labor").

I think that his price was reasonnable because Kmac Happy was included DSA retro full keyset. It's my opinion.

I included hat into my estimate (say $85 max for that 60% set).  Anyway, I've put in my bit, not here to argue ;)

He quoted me at $499 probably not including shipping when he first came here.  Calculation wise you need to cater to exactly what was put in.

Let's say we start from the beginning:
kbdmod.com sells KMAC happy kit 380,000W
$340+Shipping($12)
$352 for the kit, not including anything other than PCB,Plate,Case
-

Switches: $50 for good measure
Stickers+Lube: $8 being cheap
Springs:$10
Have you ever stickered and lubed 50+ switches in one sitting? it honestly is a tasking job on my mental state, it will take at least 2 hours to do it "perfectly"
-
$58+8+10
-
$76

$352+$76=$428

Let's not forget assembly of soldering and such a common rate on this forum is lets say $40 minus back and forth shipping?

x+30=$458

So yeah you are essentially paying him $40 in profit to have an assembled board, are you really going to chastise him for $40, especially since he even went out of his way to get a vendor badge which denotes "for profit" selling on this forum ;p.

But yeah, I'm not saying its right or wrong, just that I usually calculate before buying :P

Good luck Listokei, your acrylic work is really good, do you make casings for Filco?

That was close to my calculation, Meiosis.  I had under $500 for parts + shipping + fees.  Hence >$100 profit.
(Yes, I've stickered and lubed and replaced springs in over 2 TKL boards' worth of switches.  And one of them was an o-ring Jailhouse Blues mod, where every blue stem had to have a piece of silicone o-ring go in just so.)

You wasn't calculed led, resisters, soldering fee, stabilizer and paypal fee. Sticker + lubed was 8$ ------------> very cheap.

True, LED as well would pump it another $20, but soldering+stabilizer is same as assembly fee which I put at $40 :P.

If it's that cheap, are you interested in just selling an acrylic housing + pcb and parts? No assembly.

Hi,

Are you seen new PS2avr PCB?

It's 100% hand soldering, all of ic chip, smd diode, smd resistor, USB port, Full LED and firmware update.

Is not same KMAC, Duck mini's PCB.

This mean more need time to assembly.

Thanks  :))

For anyone who's on the fence about one of these, I figured I would put in my support for these boards.

I have a kingsaver made by listokei (this one, though this is his picture: http://listokei.gomdesign.com/king/_DSC3034.jpg), and I have no complaints about it.  The build quality is solid, there's no flex anywhere, and the colors are as nice as the pictures make them seem.  The lubing etc. of the switches seems fine (they are smooth, though I do not know how smooth they are stock).

It's not as heavy as a metal keyboard (it's even lighter than very light Al keyboards e.g. the cheat), but it comes in many more (and much brighter) colors!

Is that thing an authentic LifeZone board? I ask because it looks like the LZ engraving on it doesn't look like his other boards. It just seems to be a copy of the 356mini.
