i've gone a year with my galaxy s3, with no case, a few drops here and there , the back is scratched up , a chip on a side here and there (one was so bad i filed it down lol). still looks good.

a case would just make the phone silly imo.

Doesn't bother me much, if everyone were to cut down on banter posts and stick to the facts we'd end up like DT, not that DT is a bad forum, I just find most of the talk there pretty dry, boring and slow.

I hate cases that  make the phone feel thick and bulky, which is why I picked this one.  Also, I like that the front is a hard rubber and sticks up a couple mm above the screen to keep it from getting scratched.
