totally believable. the earth was formed while spinning non-isometrically. BUT interesting fact nonetheless!

According to some geologists, scientists, and rumor spreaders, the Earth was created by many rocks smashing into each other. Something started making the Earth spin, so it spins. When an object spins for long and fast enough, it becomes closer to a spherical shape. The Earth spins too fast to be a sphere, so it's now an oblate spheroid.

More summer drama. People just need to step away from their keyboards and remember that GH is a hobbyist forum. I'm not sure why so much senseless squabble is allowed on this site -- it looks really bad for the community as a whole.
