It's worth something. I, for one, would be interested in it because of it's layout and the history behind it. The feel doesn't hold a candle to the pro model though.

This, I'd say that the price for one new is probably a bit much, but I would deffo buy one used for cheap just to have a hhkb that can take a beating. Although that's not very likely to happen for me, since the cost of getting something like that to Norway is often enough that it's better to just go for the real deal instead.

People who bought the lite would probably want to keep it for themselves. Considering how much they paid for a rubber dome

Feel-wise the HHKB lite is the worst keyboard I ever owned. Better to save up for the Pro version or get a compact Cherry board instead.

To me Lite2 was the worst. Lite was OK for one year at least until I touched pro :)

BTW, some people prefer the first gen HHKB(fujitsu) than pro/pro2. Topre is not always the best of rubber dome for everyone. (IIRC, both Lite and Lite2 are poor Chicony.)

It is good if you want to find out whether you like the HHKB layout before spending big money on HHKB Pro 2 - as long as it is relatively cheap.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
