The second image is just a newer logo IIRC

There's a small version history on the right in the German Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_(Unternehmen)

Official press release for the new logo, giving usage dates for three of their older logos:

The irony... I asked my ZF rep for an updated high-res Cherry Logo 2 days ago haha!

I drew my own SVG versions of three of their logos over at Deskthority:

They're not perfect, but they're scalable and pretty close to the real thing. I didn't do the really vintage one IvanIvanovich posted, though.

Now the question is...  Which logo is your favorite?

I like the old one the best (as you might have guessed).  It has more character.

2005–2008, for me. It's got the right balance of subtlety and interest. The vintage logo looks overwrought to me.

The pre-2005 logo is the right one for me. No need for any black outline though. Just red and green on a white background.

I'm with daniel on this one, the 2005-2008 has better colors than the older and has much more character than the newer logos.

My favorite is the original, I especially like the very old keyboard logo stickers. I have one of them on my GH60. I like the newest one second most, because it appeals to modern aesthetics. I find the middle period designs just meh.
