Hello

Hey everyone,

I've been bit by the mechanical bug beginning of the year and now I am part of this expensive and addictive hobby  :) :)

Originally started out with a cherry blue QFR then kept wanting to try every other switch out there.  Before I knew it, it was too late.  I'm deep in, this.

Fast forward to now, currently working on putting 30g domes on my real force  :thumb:

Welcome!  I just joined a few weeks ago after getting my (first) Realforce.  Loving it so far, but I've been wondering about 55g.

So how's the mod going?  And what does it consist of?

Hey Elf, welcome and congrats on your realforce!

This is actually my 1st RF but I've had a HHKB and a FC660C.

I just received the RF today and so far from 1st impressions, the 55g switches really feel good compared to the others.  I could tell personally that 55g would fatigue me after hours of non-stop typing, however the feel of them just feels really good.  If I were to use this board for purely typing, I'd definitely go with the 55g.

I'll be mainly using this board for gaming so I was lucky enough to snatch leftover 30g switches from another member who recently did this project.  All I need now are keycaps  :thumb:
