Allow myself to introduce ... myself ;-)
I'm a C#.NET programmer and read Jeff Atwood's article about the CODE keyboard. They were sold out, but by my very compulsive nature began an exhaustive research into mech keyboards. That led me here. I wanted to try something entry-level just to test the water and so I picked up a Corsair K65 from newegg and within a couple days added the red o-ring dampeners. It's a handsome keyboard but I did have to visit Fry's to try out the various flavors of switches. I really liked the blues on the CM board. I really like the Corsair for the price (80) but we'll see what's next.
Of course, looking around here, now I'm interested in other high-end boards. Like I said ... compulsive.
