Yeah, way over priced. Also, the user that sold it came out of no where and has been buying like EVERYTHING that pops up for the past 2-3 weeks.

I'm working from home today and the weather is super nice. So I decide I'm going to take some conference calls from my deck outside. As soon as the call starts, my neighbors landscaping people show up using their gas powered weed wackers. So instead of sitting outside, sipping some water and enjoying the sun, I'm inside still being annoyed by the noise. Might as well just be at the stupid office.

Let this be a lesson to all. Credit cards, while abbreviated CC, are not the best way to buy clacks and keyboard paraphanelia.

My turn! What's bothering me:

Sizeable credit card debt due to the unfortunate mixing of (1) shopping addiction, and (2) keyboard addiction.

Thankfully, I've got the funds in my savings to pay it off but it's not fun when it takes out a not unsubstantial portion of it that could have been used for unimportant things like fuel and food.

And thanks for all the well wishes ! The dive into the deep end is never good :/

The main reason people would care about that is that it tends to drive prices up even further.  When one users goes nuts and buys regardless of price, prices go up.  And then when that buyer decides to sell, they don't want to take a loss and sell at the "old" market price, so they sell for what they paid (an, arguably, higher than market price amount).  I can't say I fault you for spending your money how you like, but that's the downside I see resulting from it, time and time again.

It's mostly just unfortunate for veteran members to see what was a $50 Clack two years ago now sell for $250 ( ) so it rustles some jimmies (rightfully so, IMO).

the off-topic section turned complete moronic **** recently.

Over 4000 posts, and only 600 not in off topic, yet complains about the quality of off topic.
I hope 36pt bold will work.

RECENTLY
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Sometimes it's hard for me to find the fine line between what I'm willing to pay, and what I think is a fair price. I always say I don't support reselling for profit, yet get excited at the chance to buy an artisan, albeit very overpriced. Idk. :/

It's mostly just unfortunate for veteran members to see what was a $50 Clack two years ago now sell for $250 ( ) so it rustles some jimmies (rightfully so, IMO).

All hail Kisa

Is Kisa the proto 3love, Synjin, & co.?

You, Halverson, and Smallfry told me about the lore. I was definitely not around.

I'm the wrong person to tell this story because I wasn't around. Demik can yell at me and tell me how new I am. This is my understanding. Don't take it as 100% true. The elders can correct me.

A picture of Kisa's collection

Back in the day, ClickClack used to sell his caps through EliteKeyboards. The caps were $10-20 I think. And they sat for ages from what I heard. Anyways, as they gained popularity, people started collecting and hunting them. Kisakasu was apparently the first person to start shelling out for them. I don't know the prices but I've been told he singlehandedly drove the second hand clack prices up.

When I joined, Clacks from ClickClack were $27-35 a piece for blanks or a single colored skull. And the last time I paid $50 retail. So ClickClack has raised the prices to try and combat the crazy second hand market prices it seems. Or at least get his share. And it was all because of Kisa.

Topic officially derailed.

So can I properly refer to the guy who paid 300$ for the pulse base + novelties as the "kisa" of pulse sets? :/

Well...if Pulse holds that value in 3 years time then sure. AFAIK, Kisa was circa 2011-2012. Pre-r00tw0rm.

Someone remind me to not order caps from EliteKeyboards anymore....

Paid $4 for shipping on 2 shift keys, and they still only sent it first class... I ordered them on the 4th, they left LA and then immediately stopped getting updates. Emailed support and they tell me 'first class gets delayed give it a couple of weeks'

You would think you get at least priority for 4$... Or just ask for 5$ and do a flat rate box.
