I hate the latest Tapatalk update.

* The norm for Android Material Design is to have a nice collapsing header at the top of a list of "cards" that animates up and away as you scroll down the list. Tapatalk added something like this in the last update, but it is AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. When you scroll down it begins collapsing. You can hit the "x" to dismiss it, but it won't come back. I guess it doesn't matter too much that you cant make it show again because besides the "X" button, theres no other interactive elements on it! just look at this load of stupid!
* The FAB (floating action button) that you use to create a post or PM is hidden underneath the useless collapsing footer.
* There are now two spots where you can look at notifications and the layouts of each are totally different from each other.
* To go back to your list of subscribed forums, you have to open the drawer menu and hit the small button at the bottom that says "<- Tapatalk" like its obvious what that does.
* Said drawer menu is only accessible when viewing the toplevel page for a forum (the one with the subforums, timeline, unread, etc. tabs at the top). If you are viewing a topic, you have to navigate back NUMEROUS times to be able to get at the drawer.

Also (not related to the latest update) it's stupid how they hijack every link to go through pt.tapatalk.com for tracking purposes. TBH, I don't really care about the tracking, I just hate that it has to open a ****ing chrome tab before redirecting to the actual link, which sometimes opens a 3rd party app (like imgur or reddit for example). Why can't they just track clicks in the background instead?

But being outside of the trading loop, there are very few cases were I'd be absolutely sure it would go smooth.  Plus I have nothing to trade.

Me too, I've had some really great trades with people, Tigersharkdude is awesome. This guy has a lot of trades on heatware, very surprising, well I might have to blow the whistle if this never comes around.

I love that you put this much effort into hating tapatalk! I do have it on my phone, but I only update it if I need to - last time I did it was because notifications broke. I've went back to version 4.9.5 on android and it works great. Notifications even work most of the time.

So I got my second ever MX board. My first is a B.face with Vintage Blacks, this second is a Jane. Have Zealios installed, Tactile Gray on the space bar. It's a great board, but that space bar is VERY rattly. Makes a click/ping every time I press it.

a) You're in Australia and I'm CONUS
b) I offered to send your zorb cap back if it doesn't show
c) The trade was initially intended for your benefit, being a fairly generous 2:1 which practically doubles your value

I've done over 150 trades between GH and Reddit- there is literally ZERO chance I'm going to risk that trade rep over a zorb entling for a couple of OG Katzens. Your caps WENT out to Australia.  I'm sorry I forgot to reply with tracking 2 weeks, as I told you in your pm if I can't find it today I will get your cap back. Period.
Packages back and forth can absolutely take that long, we can ask @bosk who had a package to 5-6 weeks to get to me from Australia.

But even if linkshine forgot tracking on an item (which can take forever to get to Australia), I think his stellar reputation should stay intact. He has made a lot of trades and benefited a lot of people, and if your cap really was lost in the mail, I think you're making a mistake by trashing him like this. He is the kind of guy who would definitely compensate you for all the trouble you've gone through, and more.

I've traded a lot with linkshine. He probably trades more caps than anyone, and is extremely honest and transparent with his trades. When I was new to artisan trading, he helped me out by making some very favorable trades to me and selling to me at retail. He also gave me a lot of information about the caps that I was trading, to his own detriment, all because he wanted to ensure a totally fair trade.

Given (i) the size and value of his collection (ii) the extraordinary frequency with which he trades (iii) his honesty in trading (which you can confirm w/ a massive sample size by looking at his confirmed trades and positive reviews) and (iv) the desire to keep such a stellar reputation intact, I find it almost impossible to believe that he would ever act in bad faith just to get a single cap.

And Splooge, I get why you're frustrated. Tracking provides assurance and not having it can be a little anxiety-inducing in a trade, especially when the cap takes forever to ship. But I think you should PM linkshine and try to work it out directly. You've obviously got his attention. I think that's a way better solution than a public airing-of-the-grievances.

If you've done that many trades, then you pretty much have a standard way of doing your transactions. Maybe that entails waiting weeks to send someone tracking, losing it, or sending it same day you sent out the package. Either way, your fault for not handling this properly.

Also, stop being so ****ing condescending to someone just because their caps aren't that high in value. The point is you were bad with communication, and Splooge really didn't even accuse you of scamming. He's clearly just upset with your lack of response, at least now he finally got one.

I don't think sploogefactory can really do anything to my rep, whats annoying is it was a trade entirely for his benefit, in which the caps were shipped out weeks ago, and yet he's still here to make me look like some kind of artisan art thief *******. I responded to your reddit PM last night as soon as I saw it offering your cap back and an apology that I forgot to respond. Please, by all means- "blow the whistle".

I don't know what most of your post says... And because I can't prove it was shipped out at all I offered to SEND HIS CAP BACK. Quit reading only parts you want to. Rep actually does matter- considering I had 3 or 4 people told me not to trade with you regarding that  keyng.

Bottom line is he had no reason to think I didn't send them aside from that I couldn't find tracking- which once he reminded me of this I offered to send his cap back. (honestly I assumed they just showed up, haven't thought about this in almost  2 weeks)
Offering to send his cap back should be the end of it. And he's probably getting the 2 caps for free in that regard... For all I know he's just abusing the fact that I can't find tracking.
