[FA] MX Oktoberfest, Final Price goes to GH
« on: Wed, 06 November 2013, 19:02:45 »

So my oktoberfest MX cc from the recent sale just shipped, and I kinda promised myself I would donate anything I didn't want to keep. Sooo 100% of the sales price will be donated to GH.

I liked how jcrouse sold off his Hack orange, so I will use the same method, with some minor changes. Price will start at 200, and drop by 10 each day until it is sold, if it is sold before I receive it, I will ship it the same day it arrives.

Day 1: 190
Day 2: 180
Day 3: 170
Day 4: 160
Day 5: 150
Day 6: 140
Day 7: 130
Day 8: 120
Day 9: 110

SOLD

+1 to the watchers here.

Should you have a change of heart, I've got a couple iron masks I could put up on a trade, along with a bit of cash. Otherwise, I'm hoping this makes its way down to a price I can afford.

Best of luck with your own goal, either way!

What does 60120 mean? lol

zip code?

I actually think it's supposed to be a bidders paddle. Normally at an auction you have a paddle with a number on it which you raise when bidding. The number is used for identification after the auction is over.

The first one of these had a minimum price.

This reverse auction does not.

Although someone will almost certainly grab it was before it reaches $100 (Rowdy's prediction!), in theory it could drop below $0, and then GH would have to pay whoever wins it.

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So interested to see it drop below $0 :D

As much as we'd like to see it drop below $0 to find out what happens, I suspect someone is going to buy it any day now.

It has dropped to about average price for one of these, soon it will be a steal!

Drop
just want to give a HUGE thanks to ekw808 for doing this. the money will help me plug the hole that has been the geekhackers store for the last 6 months (i have invested between 5 and 10k into geekhackers and then remembered that i don't actually have time to run a large store.. i am dumb, sorry guys :( )

I'd forgotten about this one.

It would be my honour and privilege to contribute to the cause. If the key's still available, I'd like to add $110 to the GHrs/mkawa fund please. PM for details?

Congrats!

So anyway, what would have happened if the price dropped below $0?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect.

I don't think that would ever happen. In fact, someone would have definitely bought it before it even reached. $50. There are simply way too many people looking to buy.
