while that may appeal to some people, I would consider that a bit over the top.

Now here's a company that relies more on brand-recognition than quality to sell products.  I suppose a "l33t" gamer would love this though.  Apparently you can watch youtube videos on the little screen.  Radical!

The mouse is pretty good I have one.
Its in the box though as the Ikari is just a lot better.
The keyboard does look fun and I would think very appealing to teenage gamers.
Not a bad thing, just not for me.

Funny, its the exact opposite for me.  I like my G9 a whole lot more than my Ikari Laser.

Ha! lmk why that is mate :)
I like the shape of the ikari more as it sits in my hand perfectly.
I think it has nicer better positioned side buttons.
The weights in the G9 are a bit of a gimmick I feel.
Also 5 on the fly dpi settings is a lot! I know you can set it to just the 2 though.
The grips on the G9 I think are a good idea.
Also the 3 onboard profiles are good.
Hmm.
The G9 offers a lot! not all of it needed but still.
The Ikari is a purer product with a definite identity (and a little screen)
The adjustments of 1 cpi also are very handy to have for fine tuning in game.
Im Just going on about nothing now.
Whats this thread about?
I didnt sleep well last night.

You were also writing in stanzas.  Very poetic.  Everytime I see the word "Ikari," I want to go fire up my NES emulator for some Ikari Warriors.  A-B-B-A FTW.

I don't think the Ikari is a bad mouse, I just prefer my G9 for a few reasons.

1.  The rubbery/matte finish is just much more comfortable than the glossy finish of the Ikari.
2.  The weights.  I switched to the G9/Ikari from 2x MX1000's so I was used to the weight of the batteries in the MX1000's after using them for a few years.
3.  Horizontal scrolling scroll wheel.
4.  The grip on the Ikari requires me to hold it in a specific position or it won't feel right due to the ring finger and pinky grooves.  With the G9, I can just slap my hand on there in any ol' position and I'll be good to go.

But the main reason is that I can't aim to save my life when trying to game with the Ikari.  I have no idea why that is.

I only use one DPI setting, so a lot of the features on the G9/Ikari are wasted on me.  But hey, they are pretty nifty.

Now if only they made a corded MX1000 with a microgear scroll wheel.....
