This set is growing on me now. My poor, poor wallet.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

If MOQ is not reached it most likely will not be produced.

Yes GMK is not cheap and also the more colors the more cost.

HHKB compatibility means it's good for the HHKB layout, like in a HHKmac or GH60 HHKB layout

why is the 1800 1.75x right shift not part of the winkeyless mods set where it has been on every other single GB in history?

It makes no sense being in the HHKB extension kit ....

Prices change for lots of reasons. It looks to me like sherry is willing to go out on a limb here if we will just show some support.

Info on the original set.

I really want this set. Not sure if I should go for the full or the TKL but I won't be in until the end of the month anyway. Way too many expensive things so far. :X

I got the email, but the pictures were broken.

Handarbeit - amazing that this was actually (re-)made as there are so many different colours on one keyboard.

So like did GMK make these keys in the different colours in one set, or did someone have to buy MOQ complete sets of each colour and mix and match?

Kinda spits all over the caps lock being the wrong colour in Ivan's GB!

Also: What is the payment timeline for this, were one to order?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So why are 87 keys now selling above the price of what 110 keys used to sell for? I noticed this with Dolch and it is continuing with Handarbeit it appears.

Dolch went high because the GB was closed and the leftover sets are the ones Sherry paid for and they stay at his store, makes sense for him to make good profit out of those since he paid for them out of his pocket.

What I don't get is him saying all those that were involved in the Dolch preorder will get the chance and be notified to  jump first on the Handerbeit + the Cyrilic + RGBY set when the GB kicks in. We got price once and was really good one a tad bit more then the Dolch preorder, then it got bumped up again but was still ok, now it got bumped up to 40%+ from the 2nd price raise, RGBY got bumped up 40%+....

If full set is now at $195 makes me wonder what will be the price when the set is available for purchase in store, $220,$230?.....

I love GMK caps, but its time for someone to actually start making GB's and not slicing wallets at the same time. I'll probably have a big headache my first GB but I'll manage, will keep the sets simple, no extra bling keys, the simple ISO needed, shifts needed, no language packs, winkeyless, winkey and probably the x4 R1 blank windowed keys and keep the cost down to $100-110 max per set. 2-3 months max reaching 400 MOQ at this price range should be no problem.

Yeah, I'm a little confused by the whole situation. The only email I've gotten from him regarding Handarbeit was on August 8, an email sent to the Dolch pre-orderers. The email explained a projected price breakdown for the Handarbeit set (much cheaper than the prices currently listed on the site), and it also said that the Dolch pre-orderers had first dibs. I haven't gotten any email about Handarbeit since, and I guess I'm confused because I can't tell by this thread's replies whether anyone else ever received another email.

I haven't forgotten about you guys.  This e-mail is incoming.  I'm just breaking down the e-mails because many people do not want a personal e-mail now.

Also, we did not do a tier pricing because we were afraid that the numbers would not reach, so we average the pricing and made it available if it were to reach 100.  We are on our way there, but if everyone prefers the groupbuy pricing, then let me know and I'll definitely set up a google vote.

Sherry its your business and you do whatever you want, since this is your puppy you have the right to set the rules and prices, but me as consumer have the right to if I'm going to open my wallet or just let the whole thing slide and if no one wants to start GMK GB then I will bite the bullet and do it my self.

4-5 days a go you gave the final pricings and when I end up combining the 87 + Tenkey + Winkeyless + RGBY  it came to $161.00

Now I go to your store, add the same items and voila = $212.00

I hate to say this but you practically beg me NOT to spend money on your keycaps... Its your business, your store, your GB/preorder, do as you wish.

What I find more important actually is the lack of Paypal.

I don't have a credit card and I have no intention of getting one. Expecting people to pay by credit card may work in the U.S. but in a lot of places worldwide people don't have these.

It's up to you.  You have to realize that we are going to go through with the group buy at a 100 MOQ, not 400.  Otherwise, people will probably not be able to obtain a set.  Also the amount of colors is more costly.

A quick question, but will the post-order price be the same as pre-order?

So if I buy the set now, what would I have to pay, and when would I have to pay? I didn't pre-order the Dolch set. I'm just a bit confused about the fact that it says buy now.

What I don't get is him saying all those that were involved in the Dolch preorder will get the chance and be notified to  jump first on the Handerbeit + the Cyrilic + RGBY set when the GB kicks in.

Hi Sherry, could you give us some more details?
- when is the deadline of the GB order / pay?
- when do we expect to get the keycaps after?
- Is there a RGBY (black). It is listed on the web but "Sold Out"  http://www.originativeco.com/collections/keysets-1/products/gmk-rgb

Thanks!

Also, Sherry, will the arrow keys be fixed? Your image has Red Up/Down arrows, but this original image that we've seen has a Yellow Up and a Green Down.

I understand where you at with this, you are basically paying for the rest of the 300 sets, maybe covering 100-150 sets max from the profit of the 100 preorders. But that still leaves you Sherry with 300 sets sitting in your store and those sets will be more expensive then they currently are in your store. Maybe this makes more sense to you to profit out of them in the long run, but to me your first idea made more sense, bring preorders to 300 MOQ, make less profit but good enough to cover the rest of the 100 sets + have some money left. The Handerbeit prices in store wont be cheap we can say the same for the Dolch too, I'm sure people are buying Dolch but how fast is it selling at this price point?

You will have keycaps stuck in ur storage and selling slow, I liked your first approach more than now, but I hold no grudge at all, maybe this way is better for ur store and GHers but something tells me that the last price tiers you gave us on Skype for the Handerbeit, it would of reach 300 MOQ in less than a month.

Don't take this the wrong way, just expressing my opinion.

I'm not convinced this set will reach 300 preorders so quickly.

Deadline will be at the end of December.

We will try to put the order through, but the listing will continue.

Those arrows will be fixed.

We will try to change the pricing to group buy / moq tier.  We will send out some e-mails regarding the situation.  We are 1/8th there, but we are hoping this to be faster so we can reach the deadline.  For everyone who already put their order in, you will not be refunded until the new 2nd/3rd tier is reached.

FWIW I'll be putting an order in, especially if money is not being collected until next year.

The last few months of 2013 have been very expensive for me :(

Will this also be true for the RGB sets? and is there a red Esc key included in that set since it says E Profile for Esc?

Please... not another cool looking set of caps! Seriously... are you guys nuts? How are you keep paying for all those? A lot of you guys have to be broke but sitting on a pile of caps! O_o

I bought so much new stuff here  in the last couple of weeks... I'm wondering why my bank isn't alerting me that my account might have been hacked. ;)
