Can enter key be improved on Siig Minitouch?

I really like the layout of this keyboard but they enter key doesn't push the switch down reliably if you hit the left side of the key.

As you can see, there is a shaft on the left side of the enter key. Was this meant to hold some kind of stabilizer/spring-loaded piston?

If not, does anyone have an idea about how to improve the action of the enter key by possibly adding another stabilizer or some other trick?

It's one of the main issues with big-ass enter keys. The ISO enter functions just fine as an extra key is eked out of the big-ass enter.

Thanks, I guess I was unaware that this could be a problem with some BAEK [big-ass enter keys].

So does anyone know why there is that sleeved hole underneath it then?

My first thought was to put a spring loaded piston in there to give some stability (albeit with resistance) to the left edge of the keycap.
