Looking for a used KeyCool 87
« on: Fri, 24 January 2014, 01:32:43 »
Hello I'm looking for used KeyCool 87 in brown or black switches. its not for me. This would for a gift for someone. I live in the US. I don't mind if its a black body or white body one, but i would like for you to have everything it came with and still have the box it came in. I will use paypal to pay. The payment would include shipping cost also. I have been looking at someon online and seems i can buy a new one for in low $70's so the price for this used one will be much lower then that.

All right. i might be willling to pay $70 thats with shipping included. I think thats a a fair price for a slightly used KeyCool 87
I'm hoping to buy it off a US person cuz i know its not fair if you are out the US the shipping cost would be too much.

If a brand new keycool costs around $92 shipped at the minimum, it's unlikely that you'll find a lightly used one being sold for $58 + shipping (Let's say shipping is around $12 via Priority Mail in a non-standard box) to make $70 shipped.  That's not counting a 3% PayPal fee either.

P.S.: you will have better luck finding a QFR for that amount.  Brand new even.

http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/item/shop-mechanical-keyboard-by-sw/key-cool-87-gaming-cherry-mx-s/lid=26561692

From qtan, highly recommended.

But you gotta add at least ~$20 more for shipping.

With the shipping $20, it makes sense to me much better...

To be honest, yes, i'm vendor of keycool in China.
So it becomes my habit to have an eye on news about the brand.
But it does help me to learn much about KB from this forum.

I'm happy my english can help a lot here( some technical terms not easy to understand though), compared with my other vendor friends in CHina.

If you can wait 3 weeks or so you can get them brand new starting from $83 shipped from http://www.banggood.com/buy/Keycool-87.html
I recently ordered a new poker ii from there for cheaper than the prices I was being offered on used ones. If you google a bit you can usually find a $3-$4 off coupon

Possibly off topic but thought it might be useful information to the OP or any passers by.

I am pretty sure the original KeyCool 87 boards had spacebar spacing like the Leopold FC200R, so only the original, KeyCool/Leopold or universal spacebars (from SP or EK) fit. The 87II has normal spacing and also backlighting, for an additional $15-17 it may be worth it to a lot of people...

The KeyCool 87 I got middle of last year has standard spacing on the space bar stems.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I am wondering about your nickname.
Xuanwumen is a place in Beijing.
Otherwise, 玄武门之变 refers to a very important point in Chinese history, when Li Shimin staged a coup and came to power as Tang Taizong, normally considered China's greatest emperor. But I can't think of any suitable name for Xuan Wumen so I assume that's not your name.

Yes, my name has similar pronounciation as  玄武, so i picked a nickname close to that.
It amazes me you know so much about china history if you're not a chinese. Are you ?

Anyway, i can answer you other questions if you have, but maybe not here in this thread.
It is off the thread topic .
