Looking for white tkl ISO (UK) board!!
« on: Sat, 25 January 2014, 04:21:41 »
Alright so the time has come for me to invest in my end game item, I know what I want but I've no idea how to acquire such a beast.. So the specs I'm after;

-white shell, (there was an old GON posted in here I'll grab pics of tonight that is the exact case) it's while with a pink band on the sides that has LED's behind it
-TKL
-ISO UK, I've seen countless white tkl boards that are ANCI or that have that huge enter key or odd space bar sizes etc I want an ISO UK board because I prefer that layout and it's just what I'm used too
-stepped caps lock/off center switch, because it looks hella cool
-switches either blue, clear or brown not too bothered about which just something with some click to it
-detachable USB cable, not a must but just something I'd like
-pre-made, I can't build anything so if I was a custom board I would need someone to build it for me :)

Alright so that's it.. I know it's a lot and I know there are not many options... But can anyone point me in the direction of someone who could build such a board?
I know about sprits GB and I'm watching it too see what a finished tkl board looks like. I also know that I could buy a tkl filco board and then try and find a custom case for it but if that could be avoided I'd prefer it :)

Thanks in advance!

KeyCool would come close on most of the points.  You could get a centre stemmed stepped caps lock (not sure there are many recent keyboards with an off-centre stepped caps lock).

The only thing is I don't think it is available in UK ISO.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

White Filco ANSI board and a black Filco ISO UK board. Swap the insides, sell the black ANSI board on.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/White-Majestouch-2-Tenkeyless-Action-Keyboard/dp/B00E3BLAHY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390752226&sr=8-1&keywords=white+filco

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Filco-Majestouch-2-Tenkeyless-Tactile-Keyboard/dp/B004HYCW56/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390752242&sr=8-1&keywords=filco+majestouch+2+tenkeyless

If you don't want to do the swapping out, offer to sell the black ANSI cheaply to someone for the service of swapping the internals.

The ones I linked are a White with Blue switches and a Black with Brown switches, but you can find White with Red or Blue on Amazon and Black with Browns, Reds or Blues pretty easily.

Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Try PMing/emailing him here :

If that fails, talk to Binge about it. I believe he is in contact with Kailet regularly ;)

It's worth noting that Kailet can do all assembly, switch tuning etc.

Well, it might end up being something I have to do... but I'd like other options available

paint that sucker

painted boards tend to look like **** IRL or have a finish that dsnt feel very nice... but again this might be something I'm forced to do and would be something I'd probably do before buying a white filco board and swapping internals
