Hullo Everyone
« on: Tue, 04 February 2014, 12:51:57 »
I've been lurking for about 18 months, made an account a while back but never really was active. Pretty interested in keyboards and pc hardware stuff, recently learned to solder and put together a custom TKL for my friend's birthday, and decided to stop lurking and post more :)

Welcome to GH!

If you soldered together a keyboard for your friend, you just jumped from n00b to pro.  Congrats!

Get some keyboards for yourself now.

Right now I'm using a model M that i took apart and cleaned and bolt-modded (which was scary), bought a poker ii with reds and some thick pbt blanks for it from feng, waiting for those to show up :D

As noted above, you're no longer a neophyte.  Welcome to the fold, brother.

Welcome Platypus.  What did you learn soldering on?

Welcome Platypus.  What did you learn soldering on?
I got a kit from a hobby shop, practiced until I was confident. My first "real" project was assembling the keyboard for my friend.
