In the wrapping but no box. Beats  cleaning 122 keys for grime if you buy used.

Some people have discussed this kind of sales in the past. They came to the conclusion that buckling springs are never sold in plastic wrapping due to potential damage to springs from being pressed down by the wrapping.

AFAIK all model Ms were always sold in boxes with sculpted styrofoam packaging.

There is also some discussion of semi-scams like this on ebay where a seller pretends that a refurb or cleaned Model M to be new in hopes of selling it for a better price.

These models have very little value. He may have taken a new looking but otherwise worthless Model M, wrapped it in shrink wrap and claimed it was new. I also have one, and frankly they're nothing great. Due to size they don't even feel as rigid as smaller Model Ms.

M-122s are a dime a dozen on eBay. Just tried a search for "clicky keyboard" and there are 28 of them ranging from $40 to $140 (dream big, bro). It's just a sad fact that no one wants them; why go through the time and effort of a Soarer conversion just to end up with an M that doesn't feel as good as a 101 key model?

I use a 122. Very useful during the workday, since I get to program all these extra keys. But now I'm getting inspired to try out a Cherry 80-1950 POS. The large size of this M122 keyboard means my hands must move further, so I"m thinking of getting my macros hidden under different layers instead of allocating individual keys.

Sad but true - these M122 behemoths are never going to be useful for most people.
