The keyboard isn't working, but some of you out there may want the opportunity to get a less common space invaders variant and see if you can fix it or swap them over to another space invaders board.  If no one else wants it, I may grab it for myself to mess around with and review.

More on the switches.

Who made those two dotted RGB stickers? I've seen them on a variety of old boards and it'll be nice to have a new set

Wow, funky banana Space Invaders! It's kind of a shame that SI switches are such a tiny niche. The black ones I've tried really are nice.

Here's another with whites.  It makes me wonder if some are yellow and some are that white/clear switch.

It's likely just a function of rarity. While you would have to also buy old stuff for original complicated alps, there were a million clones, and now also matias' new switch. This is sort of just it. I have 3 clicky SI. Personally I think they do what cherry does way better, they are compared to cherry blues alot, but I've recently sold my Das with blues that I never really used.

I like the clicky ones and would love to have a true ANSI layout (horizontal Enter) but that will not happen.

I have some parts including a bunch of white switches (I replaced 2 dead blacks with whites, for example) and most of a set of caps, including that F8, so if you need something I might be able to help you for a few dollars plus shipping.

Last, I found out that if you mess up the end of a spring, you can cut it off and stretch it out, and it is very hard to tell the difference.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

This is a different one, not the one with a missing key.

Hmm, since it has the two eyes, and is supposed to be linear, I wonder if it would have the click track on the back like the two eyed white ones do. Whoever gets this look at that.

So who just got that with one bid?

Not me, but I let it go when I saw it had one cheap bid.  Hopefully they post about it.
