Filco from PCHome?
« on: Wed, 26 March 2014, 09:14:08 »
I wanted to try out if could get used to ANSI layout and was looking for a nice Filco keyboard. Since they would cost me about 160-170€ here in Germany I searched for shops from overseas that ship to Europe and stumbled upon this: http://global.pchome.com.tw/english/DCAH1Z-A58771862

The keyboard is currently out of stock, but the price is very good. It would be about 120€ including shipping and taxes. Does someone know if they had any stock recently or did they just not remove the Filco listing from their store? Or does someone know where I could buy an ANSI Filco for a comparable price?

I have no access to this link. The error message says: "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."

Ordering from Keyboardco would be to expensive for me (more than 160€), that's why I'm looking for a cheaper alternative.

You'll probably still have to pay VAT, so you won't be saving much.

You have a point here. Maybe TS best bargain is somewhere in Germany :)

That's the point. The PCHome Filco costs about 120€ (165$) including VAT and shipping. In the OP i wrote "taxes", maybe this was confusing.

I was hoping he was pointing me into the right direction - is this normal around here? Failing at being funnny instead of trying to be helpful. Very nice. I don't know if there's something wrong with my question. But I have been searching a lot before asking and the question still stands. Because PCHome's price is really good and I don't know if they had any stock recently and if it's worth waiting. Or if someone found a similar shop overseas that ships to europe.

Prices in Germany for a Filco with ANSI Layout are about 230$, no bargain to be found yet.

PMd you back, if it didn't have red switches I'd gladly take it off your hands.
