The "Identify A Keyboard" Thread
« on: Sat, 29 March 2014, 12:29:56 »
There's been a bunch of threads recently where users make their own thread to identify keyboards they have found. By having everything in one thread, identifying keyboards will be cleaner and simpler. Everything is in one thread and one can look through this thread to see if their board has already been identified.

Not enough quotation marks in your title

but I like this idea anyway

 :))

Only problem with this thread is that you'd have to sift through lots of pages to see if your keyboard has been identified. You'd have to update OP frequently with links to every post.

I'm fine with updating the OP. I go here every day anyways...

I was not aware of that. I've never seen one of those threads yet.

That's because people stop trying. I don't really think it's worth it, because as soon as it is identified it just falls off the first page.

Only way to do it would be to dig through old threads where people seek identification, sport the question and answer in a spoiler, and start a compendium. Not unlike the simple questions thread. With enough material, it could easily be stickied and people can use that thread every time.

One topic per keyboard makes it easier to discuss the keyboard in question, use the topic as a wiki reference, etc.

If you want to do something really cool, figure out a way to mirror this for keyboards:
