HoffmanMyster Roadtrips Across Some Portion of the USA (!)
« on: Sat, 05 April 2014, 03:07:12 »
Geekhack!  I graduate from college on May 16th, and am interested in roadtripping across some portion of the USA from approximately May 18th until a few days before I start my new job on June 9th.  I will, of course, need a few days somewhere in there to move, but that can be decided later.

So, who would want to meet up with me at some point?  With this somewhat limited time frame, I should probably pick one direction and just go with it, so everyone make their case for why I should visit them!  :P  Hehehe.  Just kidding.  But seriously, if you want to meet up with me let me know in this thread.  It is incredibly likely that I will be roadtripping for about 2 weeks (maybe more!), so I might be able to cover an entire coast or so (maybe more!).

Again, post here if you're interested and I will try to get a rough itinerary together!   :-*

If you happen to come to Oregon, I'd be down to grab some pub and grub.

Where abouts will you be traveling?

This is what I'm trying to decide!   :p   I'm essentially polling to see who's interested in meeting up to gauge where I should go.  I have enough time to make it to either coast and back, but likely not all the way around the country.

Whatever you do, don't come to California.  I won't take you to the Bruery, I won't have to try and get you, Badwrench, mkawa, and myself together, and I won't say hi to you.

Normally, I would be insisting that you come to Nashville. Unfortunately, I'm going to be out of town during that time frame.   :'(

I can't really host you, considering I can't even drive, but if you come down to Houston to see moose, we could all meet up!

Indianapolis is beautiful every month of the year.  Although if you are going a legendary post-collegiate road trip, the Midwest is not my recommendation.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

Soo...looks like east coasters are making a case for themselves here!   ;D   I've never been to/near NYC before, so that could be fun.

I will of course leave this open for decision for a little while, so keep posting if you want to meet up!

Hoof, man of Mooserty.

Large steaks.  Small costs.  The theoretical meetings of moose and kirk-el.  Let us have at least the beginnings of an inaugural D-Kon.

This is quite tempting.

Perhaps what I should consider is a trip to the east coast, then down to TX, then back.  I should have enough time (I can realistically spend at least 2 weeks on the road).  Hmmm, this is sounding pretty good.

And then maybe/hopefully I'd be able to make it out west for Keycon West.

I'm interested! Located in southwest Virginia.

Having done this a few times before, I would recommend spending more time with everyone than I did.

I suggest coming to Cincinnati to visit me! Then hit up the Northeast/East Coast because they never get any meet up love on GH

GH meetup at my place!
