SOLD: Unicomp Ultra Classic: Used for 5 Hours
« on: Tue, 22 April 2014, 20:06:32 »
Keyboard is sold.

I have a Unicomp Ultra Classic, as pictured, that has had no more than five hours of use.
This keyboard is as new. There is no shine on the keys, see photos. Please PM if you're
interested.

$60 includes USPS shipping. Paypal and CONUS only, please. Thank you for looking.

Technically it is used for 5 hours, it's age would be when it was made...more than 5 hours ago I am sure.

Yes, it was manufactured in October and purchased in November of 2013. The KB has five hours of use on it. I've
changed the 'Subject' accordingly.

That is a beauty! Black case and native USB.
From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 :

The   Congress   shall have Power
To declare War,  grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
To provide for calling forth the Militia  to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

From one curmudgeon to another, it is a nice looking keyboard. And in truth, I'm sure I've used it for fewer than five hours; but I'll err on the side of caution.
Yes, native USB.

Howdy - I sent you a PM. Definitely interested. Just a matter of shipping. My sister in law is heading over to Australia in a few weeks, if shipping directly to my Australian address is not financially viable (I'd be happy to pay the difference above $60, of course). Either way, I'm keen!

My proxy better agree!  >:D lol I don't see it being a problem compared to some of the things I've gotten her to bring over in the past.

I'm excited! I haven't tried a buckling spring keyboard before, but I've always felt MX blue/green to be lacking as I'd prfer them to actually click at the point of actuation. The lack of such a dynamic makes it feel a bit ... imprecise and lacking in predictability/consistency.

Also, MX Blue is just not loud enough. It takes slamming out a speed typing test to annoy my office neighbours nowdays, which I don't have the time for very often.

The Unicomp has a definitive 'THOCK' with each key strike; and you can feel the point of actuation. But the switch is much different from any of the Cherry switches I've used: Red/Brown/Blue/Black/Green.

Thock is nice! My OCD demands I have at least one of every switch type. So I guess the collection obsession begins!

The proxy sale isn't going to happen. The keyboard is once again for sale.

Geez man, you're impatient. The proxy sale WAS going to happen. Do as you will, obviously you need the $60 more than I need your keyboard.

Zig, I waited for your response and you told me you'd get back to me, but I didn't receive any word from you.
