This is where I live for the next couple of weeks until we move into our new house. Hopefully I'll get a room to myself, more likely I'll have to have my "office" in the guest bedroom, still better than this pokey little corner anyway. It's also a little messy because of the stabs GB I just ran.

Monitors are Asus VN247H-P and the mounts are 3 cheap wall mounts.

It's a work issued riser for people who use their laptop in place of a desktop but have a separate monitor. It charges and controls the power functions. I dont' know the make model off hand (at home). I have a desktop, but idiot's in IT gave me that when I asked for a monitor riser.

Your first picture has a boring old rubber dome and your second picture has a much better mechanical keyboard.

So, starting off with the base. 2 old VCR films to elevate the computer.



Then the custom adjustable monitor stand.

And then did someone say boxes?

I can feel the shame building in comparison with the rest of you guy's set ups.

how is the fiio amp?

Fiio amp sounds good but its starting to crap out on me after one year(?) or so? The battery now leaks charge so it won't stay for more than one night without charging, and it won't charge through the computer USB so I use an outlet one. My computer no longer recognizes it through USB so I have to run an AUX cable through, which means no 24-bit/96kHz Vinyl rips for me. And Fiio is too far away for me that it needs to be more broken before I RMA it.

So yeah, for the price, the sound is spectacular. It is a really good beginning DAC/Amp that works super well with the amount of room that I have available. And at the same time, for the price, you can't really expect a super high build quality. Apparently I'm not the only one experiencing battery issues. There's a whole bunch of other things as well.

I moved back from college and I came back with an extra computer. Mom took over my actual computer desk and the only other desk I have doesn't have room to place a computer and its around 300 pounds so I can't move it anywhere else. I'm moving out for more school in a couple of months and just didn't want to pay for another piece of furniture that I'll just abandon. 

Don't call me lazy, I prefer to think of it as being resourceful. It takes a lot of work thinking about the different combination of boxes that I need to put together. And then moving everything, taking them apart and staking them in different orientation for the perfect height/space/stability ratio.

Yeah, I never use lazy in a negative sense.  It's all about efficiency really.  It's just the social norm to call it "lazy".
