When I was in school I loved science and decided to study it at uni. I now realise that computers abd robots are taking over. Please see here:

I realise that humanity may soon face a new challenge in the firm of a 'skynet' or 'terminator' scenario. I want to become a hacker so that I can protect my loved ones abd humanity from this threat. I know very little about computers.

Where do I start? How do I learn to become a hacker?

Well, you can't be a hacker without a Happy Hacking Keyboard (HHKB).  Also you need the Pro 2.  Don't get the HHKB Lite.  The FBI will kick down your door faster than you can say WTF, if you use the HHKB Lite.  HHKB Pro 2 and you won't get caught.  You ever heard of legendary hacker Steven "1ce cr34m" Prendergast?  Of course not.  He uses the HHKB Pro 2.

Yes, I only have a GON keyboard, not a Happy Hacking Keyboard. When i attempt to run my exploits, they keep failing and I'm confident the problem is that I don't have a Happy Hacking keyboard.

Since this is a keyboard forum, I'm not sure if posting anything related to software hacking will violate any term and condition of using. I think software hacking will only welcome the eyes of the authority, the bad guys and the one in the middle.

Well, first you should read opinions from above posts.

Second, you should research on 2 terms "Forward Engineering" and "Reverse Engineering".
Becoming a true hacker is a hard long story. It may require many factors but not limited to : luck, patience, books, skills, tools, ... So I better leave it to you on the research.

Last but not least, no matter you are going to do, becoming a hacker, a software engineer or a civil engineer, you should find a decent keyboard. You should try to type on Topre switch family (45g, 55g) Cherry MX family (Brown, Blue, Black, Red...)  in order to determine which switch is suitable for you.

Son, do you even understand on what path you are about to advance? Once you start hacking, there's no way back. It's all hip, cool and fun when you start but eventually you come to point where you become aware of the fact that you just hacked into the Pentagon to find out the truth about the aliens and the next thing you know, the feds are breaking in. It's all happen to me several times already but there's just no stop for it.
