If for some reason, the company decided they are only going to do 1 model, then it's probably the smartest decision to pick brown switches with white backlighting. As a manufacturer, I can understand when companies have to make tough decisions. Of course, as a customer, it's nice to have choices. I got lucky with the Rapid I, because I actually wanted brown and white.
