Purple on White
« on: Fri, 23 May 2014, 17:14:13 »
Is there a Purple on White key set?
EDIT: or White on Purple

Was the GMK White on Purple just the modifiers?

Purple Drank addicts would like to know.

Thanks!

I put a post to Ivan before.

He did hint at liking the idea of purple type key set. (I think it was black on purple)

To be clear, he didn't say he was going to do one. But, he was interested. So, there is always hope for a new purple-like type gmk key set in the future.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Purple with clear legends: http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=229

I have those.
Those are more on the lavender side. The legend is almost impossible to see without a back light. It's not a lush, pimp suit purple.

Lily set is purple on white, but mods is white on purple.
GMK white on purple is just the mods

Maybe start petitioning someone to do a full purple/white GB.

I've ran many other color in dyesub buys. Perhaps purple on white key would be a good one for next time. At least with dyesubs we don't have the trouble of making a high number. Since only the printing it's easy to do as little as 20. I will keep in mind.

I'd absolutely buy a purple on white PBT set.  Very nearly bought the Lily set but was turned off by the ABS.
