TTeSports Metal keycapss

Don't know if this is the right forum, but these upcoming caps look awesome (they need to work a bit on the centering of the legends imo, so OCD warning):

Currently using a SteelSeries 6gv2 (black switches) and a Ducky Zero DK2108 (blue switches).

The Zinc caps aren't durable. I think on OCN or reddit, there were pictures of the tarnish and breakdown of the zinc coating on caps after 6 months. They looked horrible. Anyone know what picture I'm referring to?

The ones from Reddit are disgusting and I can't imagine that being the result of proper maintenance. Zincs with legends are, though, more prone to wear and trouble if you're not taking care because of the reduced coating in the areas of the legend itself, making it easier to break down.

I've had a blank 37-key set put through heavy use over 6 months, and there are no chips or wear at all so far.

If you decide on the legended caps, you'll simply have to take care on your usage. Perhaps rotate them out every once in awhile, make sure to take care of hygiene, and develop habits to avoid extra wear, like resting and rustling fingers while on the keys.

Makes a lot of sense given that the corrosion on those caps in the reddit thread all originates around the legends.
