Hi,

I have purchase a HHK pro 2 which has arrived today, before it arrived i was using a HHK Lite 2 and it worked pretty well, but i can't seem to properly configure this one, even the switches on the back don't seem to help me setup the backspace and the FN combination keys. Did this happen to anyone around here? Does anyone know how to workaround this issue? I'm starting to think my keyboard switches are messed up or something.

P.S. - I'm running Xubuntu 8.04.

You will need to reboot the computer, that will fix it.

hey bigpook,

Thanks for the tip, i was getting sad that i couldn't use the DEL key as backspace like i'm used to, after rebooting everything worked as expected immediately.

yeah, its a pretty sad day when you have to reboot your linux box because it doesn't recognize the keyboard properly. If it matters, I only had to do this once.

But weirdness with windows is expected. I am not surprised that vista would blue screen. Its the windows way after all.

You sound like you're complaining - fast fail is a much better option than carrying on with broken functionality.

Not failing at all and gracefully killing the offending thread is much better.
In other words, why should 1 individual/thing take out the whole machine? much better for the machine to terminate  the problem so that others can continue to move forward.

Yeah, if you get a problem like the keyboard's not working properly the machine should inform you loudly but should also allow you to use any remaining capabilities - it shouldn't crash entirely or do nothing about it.
