New Filco TKL PCB/Plate screws?
« on: Tue, 15 July 2014, 17:01:30 »
Took apart a new filco today and found out that there are 3 new screws screwing together the pcb to the plate. Am I going crazy, or were those not there before? I've gone through 3 previous MJ2's and have not come across these three screws before...

Those screws have always been missing from the TKL version, but present in the full size version, AFAIK. Guess they finally decided to include them in the TKL now. Does your plate also have some odd notches in the switch holes? On the left and right sides, but not enough to open the switch tops...

yea it seems like it. Those extra screws will be so handy when desoldering and resoldering the switches because its always so hard to make sure the pcb is pressed hard against the switch when soldering (holding the pcb down often got me burned by flux lol). whats the point of those notches? I notice they have them on my kul as well... seems pointless considering the switch clips are top and bottom not left and right...
