I'm old-school; I don't like widescreen monitors, and the typical lack of clarity that flat panels provide make my eyes hurt.

 But I see they have a decent enough attempt in the 16:10 field here although sadly it doesn't have a USB hub at that price.

I plan to take two 16:10 monitors mounted vertically for a sweet 5:4 setup. I really liked the 5:4 CRTs.

Interesting that thee are still a lot of non widescreen aspect users out there. I prefer 16:10 and 21:9 aspect ratio myself hehe.

widescreen is best used vertically for text and forum browsing.

One issue with widescreen is that I'll be using dual monitors and then it ends up being super wide.
Depending on what you use them for, a single fullscreen "main" monitor flanked by a vertical widescreen monitor could be a great layout.

That's how my work machine is set up. And my gaming rig at home, now that I think about it... RH monitor at 16x12, left at 12x19. (all numbers are " * 100 " like a tachometer    )

B&H is one of the most relaiable sites there is. They even have a really sweet physical location in new york.

Yeah I had my widescreen laptop set up vertically driving a 4:5 monitor next to it. The laptop was set up to browse GH and stay on IRC/Skype/email all the time and the other monitor was great for everything else.

I would wait. The 24" g-sync monitors are due very soon, and these might even drop more when the G line drops from BenQ. But, if you need it now and don't plan on upgrading to a g-sync GPU, this is a great monitor. This is the best 24" gaming monitor at the moment, unless you want to spend $500+ on an Eizo.
