they should make a 64 port hub, so we can play chess with usb pieces that animate when you plug them in...

A USB chess set would be awesome.  Hell, it would be handy just to take with you on a car/train ride as a travel chess set since the pieces wouldn't slide around.

I need to find a nice, cheap USB hub.  I broke the two ports on the front of my case.

My dumb a*s stepped on my thumb drive when I was unplugging something from behind my case.

That reminds me, I need a new thumb drive, too.

I need to stop giving my PC reach-arounds.

I picked one of these up a couple of weeks ago.  Works well enough, and comes with the wall wart, so it can power all 7 ports @ 500mA.

I just bought this thing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270415124925&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123.

Powered, 7 ports, $7, worth a shot.  If it doesn't work (which I doubt since all the crap electronics I buy from eBay work so well I never have an excuse to buy something expensive), I will try the Dlink and the Cables to Go ones.

LOL That's why I love having a laptop — it's fun for the bed, couch, car, friend's basement, etc. No slots to plug, but there are plenty of holes for the creative.

I'd like a small three-port hub I can build into my Customizer.
