only in Cali is foie gras outlawed, not the food itself, but the force feeding thing. Was there ever a thing against oysters?

not sure I could live without those two

Must be a legacy of the Freedom Fries era if there is an embargo against oysters.

As for force feeding, I think there was plenty going on at Guantanamo also.

 ;D  Very true!

On this subject, I got a baguette while out for lunch one day a few months ago; when I returned to work, a coworker asked what I had and I mentioned the baguette.  His response was "What the hell?? Just say you had *bread*! Why do you need to sound all fancy with your baguette?!"

Well I'm speaking of baguette because of the french stereotype , but it's basic bread to us .

I like "pain de campagne " a lot more :

If you're speaking about Charlie Hebdo , I'm thankfully nowhere near that .

But hey , if you keep on bothering people that aren't afraid to kill , It's not freedom of speak that will stop bullets .
They had been threatened multiples times and one of their building sets on fire .

I'm not saying they deserve it , they played with fire and got (very very very very very badly ) burned .

I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write.
