I am trying to finalize a venue, but its hard to do that without a count. May 16th will be the date - and the con will be open all day. Skokie Double Tree Hotel 9599 Skokie Boulevard Skokie, Illinois, 60077-1314, USA TEL: +1-847-679-7000 Lunch Option in Hotel - http://doubletree3.hilton.com/resources/media/dt/CHICCDT/en_US/pdf/skokie_lunch.pdf Hours 10:00AM - 6:00PM Schedule 10:00 -11:00 - Setup - Claim a table if you have stuff - help others if you don't - get projector/livestream set up / meet and greet 11:00 -12:00 - Socialize check out other peoples stuff 12:00 -1:00 - Lunch - The hotel has a very decent steakhouse restaurant that would be the easiest option. If people want to go out or order in food great. 1:00 -3:00 - Presentations - Not sure exactly how long these will go. 3:00 -6:00 - Socialize - breakout discussions presentations - buy/sell goods etc. I realize a lot of you expressed interest in the planning thread, but please Reply to this thread if you intent to join. When Keycon West happened we thought that maybe 2 a year might be good to allow for our West Coast clackers to get in on the fun.... As far as I see it KeyCon and KeyCon West are the only Real KeyCons, and the rest are Meetups, but I don't want to go raining on someone else's parade who whats to rally the keyboard troops. |
